Hmmmm..
King George V, met and urged his Foreign Secretary Edward Grey, right, to go to war with Germany two days before the First World War.

King George V said Britain should go to war in order to prevent Germany from achieving complete domination of this country

And if he had not would we not all be speaking German now and be part of the German Empire?

Well first of all delighted to see you posting sources.

We were going to war anyway thanks to a complex series of treaties that bound us to defend France and Belgium. Treaties put in place by our democratic government.

George is entitled to his opinion, but that's all it was.

George V had no real power-he had no say in whether we rescued Nicholas II, who used to be bizarre...

Well we are now and we're not. That is under Germany's domination and we don't speak German.

You mean the Saxe-Coburg Gotha family, or the Windsors, the name they've now adopted?

I think he means the increasingly German controlled EU.

Clegg makes a leap for political greatness. I'm sure the little worm sees it like that. 'Ooh, 2 weeks after the plane shooting and no one's noticed Russia host a World Cup in four years time. I think I'm gonna to wet myself! Clegg foreign policy heroics floors Russian bear headlines fill his head.

Shut up you nauseatingly opportunistic tosser. Russia deserves to finally host the world cup, keep your filthy ambitions out of it, you complete failure! You f**ked your own reputation up, don't hijack the world's most popular event to repair it. Naff off you vile little man.

A clegg is a blood-sucking insect so you're on the mark there.

It's a pity that the Lib-Dems are about to be wiped off the face of the planet. Their party is far more worthy than the Conservatives being more welfare society minded. However when you act for a noble cause and then show yourself to be no better than all the rest of the power grabbing yellow bellied politicians you get what you deserve. Which will be annihilation.

They could have left and forced an election rather then trashing all their values

Agreed. A supposedly highly principled party with no principles apparently.

the way they handled a slate of pretty serious cases of sexual health even recently, have been shameful.

And reflected a strong desire not to do the right thing.

Why is Liberty stopping freedom of how we phrase things? Seems like a contradiction in policy? Mind you everything should allow some contradiction...
