Fridge Magnet Quickie

INT. KITCHEN.

A WOMAN IS SPELLING OUT A SENTENCE ON A FRIDGE USING FRIDGE MAGNETS THAT ARE KIDS' ALPHABET TYPES.

MESSAGE: " YOUR DINNER IS IN THE FRIDGE."

THE WOMAN EXITS THE KITCHEN

FADE

A MAN WALKS INTO KITCHEN, READS THE FRIDGE MAGNET MESSAGE AND OPENS THE FRIDGE DOOR.

MAN: A bag of spuds?... What?

END

Don't like the end. Maybe a tin of Alphabetti spaghetti. (My signature dish.)
Plus he shouldn't speak.

That is a nice out... Thanks

Bill in post :)

I agree with P, it should be obvious what the punch is without the dialogue.

It's also the sort of throwaway exchange you'd have in a longer piece of dialogue. "Where's my tea?" "It's in the fridge" *reveal*

The setup was intriguing though, as she could have written anything.
