White room - Jack Bruce and Joe Bonamasso

I was lucky to see Joe in a small club 17/2/2006 before he became massive.
Leslie West and Peter Frampton - Mississippi Queen

Leslie West - Nantucket Sleighride (theme from the Weekend World)

Just discovered what a Nantucket Sleighride is - not very pleasant!
Lazy Sunday - Small Faces on a compilation I bought from a charity shop today.
"Summer in the City" basically from the labels Pye, Buddah, Immediate and others.
I don't think kids these days get the concept of record labels because they have no visual identity these days. The Pye labels used to be pink with pink wavy lines on the (non-picture) cover.
Some really lovely summer songs although it's pissing down now.
Ice in the sun - Status Quo.
Lots of really good tracks but a few stinkers. Still good value for £1.99.

And pale blue - "Lola".
Re: previous selection, "White Room" is a fine song.

That was the 70s I think. The pink was mainly the 60s.
And going back to that album it's very much a polarised collection. Lots of fantastic stuff but a lot of crap too.
Portsmouth Sinfonia
Also sprach Zarathustra - dig the crackle from the vinyl.

My memory of Pye is that it was more Purple than pink in the 60s? I'm basing that off Mum's old 45s that I used to spin from the age of 4. The Honeycombs' 'Have I the Right' is one that springs to mind as being on that label...

It was deep red, like Stax. (Or maybe it wasn't?)
Looks quite pink here:

That couldn't be more pink!
I've got several Sandie Shaw singles plus Sunshine Superman on pink Pye.

The lovely Honey Langtrey if I remember rightly.
And do you remember Megan Davis? I seem to remember her playing a stringed instrument. What was her group?
Oh yes - Megan Davies was bassist with the Applejacks. "Tell me when" being their big hit.
Not that I'm listening to it right now but I will later.
Waiting for the Sirens Call - New Order album.
I haven't played this in ages but I really do love their sound.

Even as a fan, I was surprised how good that album is. Also surprised/delighted to snap it up for a couple of quid in one of those discount bookshops/stationery shops a good few years ago.
Taste live at the Isle of Wight = I feel so good. Rory was great live.
