Bets Intentions AKA Just home from work.

What I do when I get home from work:

I did the little rework of the music. The original is called Best Endeavours by Alan Hawkshaw.

I liked the idea but I really kept wanting an ad break so I could go for a pee and get a cup of tea.

That was odd but I liked it, was too long though. I like the idea of "what I do when I get home from work" It has legs.

thats a nice bit of music

ha ha, I totally agree that it needs to be shorter for comedy value, but I also did the 'remix' of the channel four news theme tune on 'Logic". Got caught up in trying to keep the video in time with the tune, but really the whole point of the video was for it to be a 'guilty secrets' expose of a white collar worker who loves the channel 4 news theme tune and listens to it secrectly whilst looking at pictures of john snow and krishan guru murphy. The clip would not work anywhere out of the UK. I really tried to make my dancing look like I was raving but it's actually very difficult to pretend to dance when you're on your own in your bedroom, I'm no actor. Glad you all understood the premise though. Going to try to buy some better editing software at some point.

I thought it was aces, sort of ambient nonsense you used to get on offbeat channel 4 comedy shows at 2am.

Cut out as soon as people get the idea. Tighten up the set up... Play against the porn expectation. Wham bang thank you ma'am. And out. Edit in the script before you f**k about filming anything. It's cheaper in terms of time if nothing else. Cut what you have to maybe 40 secs at a push.

I could see that you was trying to keep with the same timing as the tune and it worked because it was zany enough. I can also imagine what a lot of white collar workers do after work and that is one of them them, I bet there are are lots more :)

That's racist!

Yes agree if you can get it to ubder a minute and still tell your story even better

That's racist!

And collarist

We don't call them "collared" any more.

I really like the idea, and agree with others that there's mileage in exploring the "what I do after work" concept further as a regular series... Every week/month/whatever, a new insight into this weirdo's home life.

I also agree that what's there should be a lot shorter, or that it could do with more "stuff" for its length... Playing on the porno expectation more is a good suggestion, I feel. It's a good building block, and I think with some work it could become a really fun ongoing thing.
