Music from TV Shows / Adverts

For my radio show this week I have a loose topic of 'music from TV shows and adverts'. Can you please suggest some tracks as either great theme tunes or having been featured in ads that I can consider for the playlist.

For example...

TV Themes

Minder
Whatever happened to the likely lads
Dad's Army

Adverts

Lovely Day - Bill Withers (Ford)
We have all the time in the world - Louis Armstrong (Guinness)
Easy - Commodores (Halifax)

I'll give anyone a shout out for tracks that end up being selected. :)

Because of you - Dexy's - wasn't that Brush Strokes?

And bending the rules a bit -

One chord wonders - the Adverts.

Suicide is Painless - Theme from M*A*S*H.
Angela - Theme from Taxi.
Last Night - Theme from Bottom.
Go to the Mardi Gras - Theme from A Bit of Fry and Laurie
Dave Allen At Large - Alan Hawkshaw

Oo, some good choices there - keep 'em coming :)

Talking of the Taxi theme, here's me trying and failing to play the bugger, complete with frustrated swearies. Probably not suitable for Peterborough FM though Jezmond. https://soundcloud.com/lee-henman/taxi-attempt

Blow Up A Go-Go (Wild Elephants) - James Clarke - Gap Advert
Ain't Got No/I Got Life - Nina Simone - Muller Light
Venus in Furs - The Velvet Underground - Dunlop
Guaglione - Perez Prado - Guinness Advert
Bohemian Like You - Dandy Warhols - Vodafone

I can't believe that no one has mentioned Cheers!

Got a bit hysterical over that.
Cheers, indeed!

If it's not too late?

Half the World Away - Oasis - The Royle Family
Soul Limbo - Booker T and the MG's - BBC Cricket

Turn On, Tune In and Cop Out - Freak Power - Levis
Heartbeats - Jose Gonzales - Sony
Just Another Diamond Day - Vashti Bunyan - T-Mobile

Turning the Town Red - Elvis Costello (Scully)

Which he appeared in as Scully's simple brother - a non-speaking part.

As if anyone, ever, needed a reason to play this again !
