What the f**k are you on?

Quote: Oldrocker @ 11th May 2014, 4:29 PM BST

Dunno. Don't listen to any of 'em.

Ah, the good old BCG. You may not have a valid opinion but criticising mine is always a viable option.

The most sought after award of them all.

Aside from Nuts magazine's most wank worthy all girl band.

According to the book I have, that's one of the Stations on The Road to Cliquehood.

Yay! I'm finally on my way to Cliquehood. (Except I always have an opinion...does that exempt me?)

If it is relevant and correct - yes (according to my book).

BBC Radio Devon DJ David Lowe, 68, has lost his job after playing a 1932 version of The Sun Has Got His Hat On which, included the n word

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-27360884.

He forced the BBC to sack him for a minor discretion by asking if they wanted him to resign.
The answer whatever your job will always, always be yes.

I saw this and was going to post.

WTF would know that was the case?

I'm a bit concerned over his reasons for not going back though.

Yes - there was a slight martyr vibe coming off that for me.

Here I am, older chap on local radio, trying to hold on to old values and English simplicity...yet look, the PC brigade have got even me.

How is that forcing someone to sack you? Many people have offered to resign in the past, but were kept on. Sounds to me like this local radio station wanted to get rid of him anyways. Tim Westwood has played a thousand records riddled with the n-word.

Where they fell down was not waiting for him to Yewtree himself, but instead jumping on the trendy 'kill all racists' bandwagon. By pressuring him to resign instead of accepting the on-air apology, they've come across as PC bullies and the stance has backfired on them massively.

Trust me RCP in any job situation offering to resign, means you expect your employer to endorse whatever you did.
Like I say his mistake was small, how he handled foolish. Read the article they didn't pressure to resign, he offered that was the mistake.

As for Tim Westwood he is a riddle.

Dear BBC,

Who gives a f**k?

Yours,

Oldrocker.

Actually I do, I am so sick and tired of the pathetic sham that is the Commonwealth.

It exists to give our ancient, monarch the premise she has an empire a sheen of undeserved respectability to African despots. It doesn't even get us trade the Africans trade with China, the Ozzies and other whites with America.

It's not even like our athletes even win everything anymore.

It's an embarassing clinker of shite hanging off the arse of state.

Trust me sootyj, offering your resignation is only done when you know you're going to be sacked if you don't. The BBC is on full 'witch hunt' status, especially after Jeremy Clarkson, so this is a case of jump before pushed.

The complete lack of loyalty shown by the Beeb over this matter speaks volumes. It was only after the public reaction did they admit to making a mistake and offer him his job back.

Well on that one neither of us know and it sounds more than a little paranoid.

Bearing in mind they're showing a contentious sitcom with a blacked up character, slapped Clarkson on the wrist and as you pointed out are filling the air waves with the n word.

Then I somehow doubt it's the hotbed of anti racist ferment you think.

Oh wait you think, Clarksons latest final warning is for real.

Erm yes, I think when he gets to 10 he wins petrol vouchers.

As it is I think this DJ did a UKIP, a two fingered resignation at the end of his career.

I'd like to believe that, but he could have chosen a more controversial song than the 1932 recording of 'The Sun Has Got His Hat On'. F**k The Police by Niggers With Attitude would have been my choice.
