Chilean reds are great! I've only just started getting into wine, but they're excellent value for money.
I didn't realise that Canada had a wine industry at all!

Yes Quebec and Ontario have some of excellent wines. Niagara Region is the best in all of Canada in my opinion. Again if you have the chance to drink some of our Ice Wine you will not be disappointed I assure you (that is if you like dessert wines). I have only had it twice (as it is very pricey).
