Quote: billwill @ 11th April 2014, 1:26 AM BSTThe Tarot pack that I have in my hand here, has 4 suites:
Pentacles, Cups, Wands and Swords
Each suite has 14 cards
Ace,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,,9,Page, Knight, Queen, KingSo if you take the Pages out, you have a conventional card deck but with different suites from the conventional Hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds.
Then there are the extra 22 cards and these are the ones most often used in fortune telling:
Emperor,Chariot,Fool, Magician, World,Tower,Moon,Empress, Temperance,
Death, The Hanged Man, Justice, High Priest,Judgement,
Hermit, Devil,High Priestess, Lovers,Strength, Sun, Wheel of Fortune.I think, but I'm not sure, that the other deck that I used to own had that same set of cards.
Do you read them Billwill??
Will you do me pleeease? If you can
Can you actually read them over the internet??

That sounds very penitential. Talking of which, Malaga is preparing for Holy Week, which starts tomorrow. Thousands of tourists, everything completely chaotic, but beautiful hot weather.

Good opening line for 12-bar blues there.

Oh God Lofty not another flipping lawnmower based suicide attempt.
At least let me film it this time for People Do the stupidest things.
HELP zooo! See Football thread!
Jennie is remembering Hillsborough, those that died there and the subsequent police cover up.
As a Forest fan, we were the spectators of Hillsborough. Our fans, some of them qualified medical professionals, had to stand and watch as other human beings died in front of them.
A couple of them asked if they could go on the pitch to help. They were told no, because they were fans of the opposing team. The ones I know have never fully recovered.
RIP to the 96 and thank goodness justice is finally on its way.

The most appalling thing is that people lost their lives at a flipping football match - ridiculous
The next most appalling thing is that the British police force lied and plotted to make it look like Liverpool fans pretty much caused it and deserved it
Which is quite incredible when you think of it
Bastards
West Yorkshire Police have a terrible reputation, the cover up some say was their price for thumping all those miners for Thatcher.
When you can't trust the police , who the hell can you trust in this world?
It's terrifying
I knew someone once who got picked off the street by cops and they gave him a choice
We can fart around taking you to te station and fill in forms blah blah blah
Or we can drive you somewhere private and give you a damn good kicking
It was truly awful and indicative of the way football fans were treated in the 1980's. It is a shame that all standing terraces have gone though. They can be perfectly safe.
If LJ Goldring does find unlawful killing, it will be interesting to see if they pursue a charge of gross negligence manslaughter against Duckenfield.
I'm not sure they would get a successful prosecution on it though. The negligence must be gross (as the legislation says.) What did Duckenfield actually do?
As far as I can tell, there was inadequate levels of policing on the day (probably not his fault). Liverpool were in the smaller end despite having more fans (again probably not his fault.) His only action was to give the order to open Gate C allowing 20k fans to surge down the tunnel.
But was that grossly negligent? There was severe crowd problems outside the ground at that stage. It could be argued it was a reasonable step to take to alleviate that crush.
There were of course inadequate emergency procedures followed, with only three ambulances on the pitch and no real police response. Is that grossly negligent? Can it be placed entirely at Duckenfield's door?
It will be interesting stuff.

Yes, although I would like to believe that things are better today. ~Not perfect, but better. Certainly football fans are treated more humanely.
Most of the police I worked with have been fine and professional, and I've worked in the forensic end of social services.
It's an obdurate minority, and it doesn't help they do everything with twits in liberty having a boner for them to make a mistake.
If you put people underseige they raise the drawbridge.
Also it's an impossible job. In theory the police could solve every burglary with modern forensics, but with limited resources they have to choose not to.
Which will never make them popular.
