No - too difficult to police. For example, I estimate I am in at least 1 million Japanese tourist photos, because I have to walk across Trafalgar Square to get to work and I refuse to walk around the picture taker or take-ee. I plow straight through.

I heard about this stupid "photos of women eating on the tube" thing. It annoys me. A lot.

A big line was crossed when they put cameras on phone.

I guess banning would be a nightmare and unenforceable. It's more about learning good manners.

It's a bit freaky when you sit on a tube and all those people are pointing cameras at you.

That said, stop eating on the tube you greedy scratter it's gross.

It is also completely legal.

Also, we have to limit it to women, because whilst men are allowed to stuff their faces and get big and fat, ladies must remain waif-like and exist on a diet of wheatgerm and kale for all eternity.

Might be a bit difficult if you're somewhere like a concert or a tourist attraction and there's literally thousands of people in the background. And what form should the permission be? Verbal, written, an official form?

Of course, they could try to ban people from eating on the Tube, like they have with alcohol consumption, but I don't think it would be a very popular or enforceable policy. The difference between private and public spaces is kind of blurred for some people.

Though I'm still baffled why pervs, weirdos, etc. want to see pictures of women eating food on public transport.

If you look at the photos, it is quite clearly so they can take the piss. There is one up there at the moment of a girl eating a banana.

I know, it's pretty much impossible to figure out how it could work.

It's just horrific and wrong that it seems entirely legal at the moment for a stranger to take a pic of a woman (or anyone) on the tube, upload it, slag her off publically along with dozens of other sad, pathetic freaks, and she can't even make the site take it down.

If it was me, I would report it to the police and get them to issue a harassment warning. Whilst it isn't illegal, putting a photo of someone on the internet purely so others can slag them off would constitute harassment.

If they did it again, I would get them arrested. And I would press charges.

nb I've a couple of times had someone ask me if I'm taking photos whilst looking stuff up on my phone.
And thought because there's a camera in it, it looks like I'm taking your photo.
It's why I like my Nexus, no back camera, no doubt.
