Hot Fuzz: Starring Simon Pegg & Nick Frost, written by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright (Directing god!).
Are any of you lot looking forward to these two? (Even though they are a long way off.)
I am. Probably moreso Magicians, but both sound pretty good. 
I wonder how people will compare Hot Fuzz against Shaun of the Dead?
I am literally eating my own head with excitement about Hot Fuzz! And I'm sure Magicians will be great too.
I'm getting a bit iffy about all my favourite TV comedians buggering off to make films though. I don't mind them doing it now and then as long as they eventually return to make us a sitcom or two. (As both these particular people do seem to be doing, luckily.)
But a lot of them would prefer just to make films it seems, which means that we only get to see about 2 hours of their work on a cinema screen, instead of enjoying it on TV for a six or eight week run.
Not that I'm being selfish or anything...

Yeah, good point. I suspect the pay is one of the reasons.
As discussed elsewhere on here there's been a lack of good British comedy films so I hope these two are great. They've certainly got some good talent behind them. Shaun of the Dead was just great (the camera winding scene rates right up there with the best of the best).

Magicians looks all right. Nice to see Jessica Stevenson.

How does it compare to Shaun of the Dead though?
I'm pleased Magicians will be written by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. I thought the sketch show Mitchell & Webb did was inferior to Peep Show by quite a stretch.
