Hey guys!
I'm really interested in comedy acting, as well as improv and character comedy. I know there's a big culture of this in the US, but here in the UK I'm at a loss, as it's not as simple as just going to an open mic. How do you get into these fields? Any tips?

I don't think there is a UK equivalent of prestigious groups like Second City, Groundlings etc. There are a fair few groups dotted around though, just Google Improv Comedy [Name of town/city] and you'll probably get at least a couple of results for anywhere major. Go along to them and see if it fits.
Somebody with actual experience of the scene might know more than me, of course.
Yeah, I've always been way into American comedy, and I fell like the UK needs an equivalent of the UCB or similar.
