I'm not sure who wrote that book, but I bet they don't smell of Whiskas and cat's piss.

Young women die of breast cancer, too, sometimes leaving behind babies and young children. Don't think it's possible to compare tragedies and decide one is more deserving.

You do every time you give to charity

Wise words indeed.

That's why my only charoty is the society for the promotion of smugness

Not only is it possible, it happens on a daily basis. As sootyj has pointed out, more deserving causes are thrown by the wayside because they don't attract the same level of empathetic support from the public.

Once mad old ladies start leaving money to autism sufferers instead of cats, then I will agree with your estimations.

Because it happens doesn't make it valid. And do we actually know that mad old ladies leave money to cats? Maybe it never happens. Or maybe - dare I suggest it - mad old MEN leave money to cats.

No. I don't decide one is more deserving. I decide who I want to help. That ' s a different thing.

I bought myself a cat onesie, shat in a tray and killed 6 pigeons

I was left £250,000 in one year alone by mad old ladiea

You lucky bastard!

Coal miner Asia Resource Minerals (ARMS) (ARMS.L) on Tuesday announced its long-awaited split with the Indonesian family that helped found it, sparking bitter posts on Twitter between a family member and fellow ARMS founder Nat Rothschild.

Here is one of their exchanges of put-downs, as clever as it is cutting:

the word on the street is that you are extremely DUMB

And the reply:

Dumb, I believe that's the word that has been associated with you by most of the people that I have met.

You go girl!

Smack down!
I feel quite sad about Chris and Gwenyth. Thought they were pretty stable. Always sad when a marriage breaks down - particularly when there are kids.

He seems like hard work though... I remember him walking out of a Front Row interview for no particular reason, so they did well to last this long.

Quite! What's it called when you mime marking a scorecard in the air?

Apple is so cut up, she's joining a Waldorf salad.

It's his own fault for consistently threatening her,

singing I will fix you

Apparently it's given Apple the Pip, got her to the core and she's be cider herself.

What IS the problem with these feckers?

Those wacky Danish zookeepers have been killing more animals again. This time it's a family of lions - Mummy, Daddy and the two fuzzy lickle cubby cubs because a new young male lion is arriving at the zoo.

Personally I'm outraged...mainly that we're being denied the entertainment of seeing this new lion ripping the family apart in an orgy of carnage and fangs.

At the very least, the zookeepers could have split this family up and allowed them to be ripped apart in other zoos at great expense, thus allowing more people to see nature unfolding in all it's ruthless violent glory. Guess I'm gonna have to stick to David Attenborough to get my fill of the animal kingdom's horrible brutality.

As much as he is pure evil, you have to admire the way he is going for full on crazy megalomaniac. You don't see this kind of commitment from other despots:
