I've recorded several episodes of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet on ITV because someone recommended the show to me (I think it was Chappers). At least I thought I did...I realised now that I've actually recorded an animal show called Auf Wiedersehen, My Pet! >_< >_< >_< >_< >_< Thanks ITV, very funny!

Oh, thanks very much, Oldrocker. Hadn't thought of that...many shows seem to have disappeared completely from YouTube. I've recommended OFAH to a friend of mine 2 or 3 years ago and he watched the whole thing on YouTube, but nowadays you hardly find any 2 minutes long clips of it.

I don't know anything about windows 8. My previous laptop is 8 years old and is good, old, comfortable Windows XP.

Windows 8 is what you tend to get on a new computer; Windows 8.1 is what you then upgrade to in order to get back some of the features you would have been missing. Apparently the upgrade is a bit of an admission of defeat on behalf of Windows, in that the customers didn't like the new OS, and wanted some of the familiar features back which Windows 8 lacked.
The boiler stopped working last night. Just had a cold shower. Horrendous. Shampoo and shower gel don't even work with cold water, so I'm now freezing and not even very clean.

I'm looking for new earphones. What have you got and would you recommend them?

I was shocked to discover that I was drinking far above the DoH guidelines so I decided to do something about it.
Accordingly, I drew up my own set of guidelines and am happy to report that I am now well inside the recommended limits.
