Top Tips on Comedy Writing
Interested in writing comedy? Wondered how to send your script to the BBC and what happens when you do? How do they assess your work? What grabs them, puts them off and makes them laugh? If you're after some tips on writing comedy, this is a session not to miss.
Join Henry R Swindell (Development Producer, BBC Writersroom) who will provide you with some invaluable tips on writing great comedy. It's a very broad talk that covers the basics and will get you excited and invigorated about writing comedy.
Henry will also be joined by an experienced comedy writer (TBC) who will also be sharing tips and insights on developing and writing TV sitcom as well as answer any burning questions you may have.

In this exclusive online comedy session Will Saunders (Executive Producer, BBC Comedy) and Jon Aird (Producer, BBC Comedy) will be sharing tips on what makes great short form comedy, how to stand out in the digital world and strategies the next generation of comedy creators are currently using to reach massive audiences. They will also talk through lessons learnt from developing comedy digitally, giving specific examples of comedies launched via BBC iPlayer last year and how they develop and work with talent from You Tube.
