Did the Jackson Five sell a huge amount? Presumably they did.

Yes - and the Four Tops, Temptations, Supremes.

Nah - not really in the same league.

Nah - not really in the same league.

I'm not a great Commodores fan (Lionel Richie is an embarassing botox-freak these days) but Kool & The Gang are great fun. Many great singles and different styles.

XTC could be a contender for the title ultimate pop band. Never sold many records but created many many musical gems.

How about The Wanted?

Seen them in concert, they were excellent.

Me too. Thank you. Boyzone

They were playing The Supremes and The Who in a Spanish supermarket this evening while I was shopping.

Not a 'pop' fan

But I like Blondie too

And The Cure

And Madness

Blondie did the perfect pop song with "Maria".

Madness

One of my secret Madness favourites...sung by Feargal Sharkey:

"Listen To Your Father": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Onm6Tz90n7w

Blondie did the perfect pop song with "Maria".

One of their most crap songs.

Rip her to shreds was fantastic. Unfortunately one of their few 12"ers I couldn't get hold of.

I'm always touched by your presence dear.

I think it has to be Blondie, brilliant catchy songs that rock too - really hard, clever lyrics, great rhythms. And I think some of the guys were considered sexy.

Have I forgotten anything?

And the most sexy woman singer ever!
