It's a pity there wasn't any rugby on the weekend. Yes that's right, no matches anywhere, especially not at Twickenham Angry

Shame about Halfpenny's injury. He was in the form of his life - indeed, he was the only reason it was as close as it was. Would have been embarrassing otherwise.

I wonder if your forward pack are on the decline - they seemed rattled for most of the afternoon.

Halfpenny has never been the full shilling.

Marc! Wave

:)

You should (obviously) be ashamed of yourself!

Younger fitter quicker and stronger. That about sums up the English pack as opposed to the Welsh. Although England didn't score as many points as last year it was a more dominating performance helped somewhat by absolute 'schoolboy' errors from Wales. Especially the Danny Care try! Unbelievable! Even at primary school age you never turn your back on a penalty.

Particularly with a scrum half who takes quick penalties whenever he can. I do get confused though - sometimes a quick penalty is taken and the judge calls them back. I don't understand when it is legal to do so and when it is not!

'The Judge'. You lawyer types honestly :P

Referees bring them back if they're not taken from the right spot. Anywhere from behind the incident in a direct line between that point and the try line. But some ref's police to the letter of the law, some don't. However it was Wales who committed the crime!

Allez Les Bleus

Oh dear, 'ow sad, never mind, lovely boys.

:)

I loved the shot of the bloke in an Irish shirt, green hat and false white beard who held up a sign that said 'Been here three days and I haven't seen the Eiffel Tower yet.'

He was at the Wales v Scotland game !

:D :D :D

Table was about right. I thought England over-all played the best attacking rugby and looked sharp throughout. Ireland's forwards won them the title. The French/Scottish quite frankly looked pretty clueless. Wales went from unbeatable to being completely beatable. Inconsistency wins you nothing I'm afraid. Italy just haven't got the strength in depth I'm afraid though they probably should have beaten Scotland.
If the Welsh can perform like they did against Scotland every time they will win the World Cup. Howevever the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim. And you can claim their best player left early but even Hogg on form would not have stopped that onslaught.

For oldrocker from last year (in case you haven't seen it!)

Laughing out loud

I have a t shirt somewhere that says ' There are only two teams I ever support. Wales and whoever is playing against England. !

My girlfriend has a similar one but it says "I support 2 teams. The All Blacks and whoever is playing Australia."

A laudable sentiment.
