To be fair, Seanan's humongous shadow is quite scary.

If only because she has Slash all down her legs.

Excellent programme on BBC4 tonight at 8pm - Bombay Railway (1/2) No need to be particularly interested in railways. It's a fascinating look at day to day life in a large Indian city. Recommended.

Also recommend this. Watch it you twats.

F**k me, he was taking his life (or at least other bits) in his hands.

One of those stories that's part funny, mostly not.
As amusing as it is in a kind of abstract way, you should get jail time for raping an animal.
The man's a disgusting psycho.

Ah, my neck of the woods. Makes me feel so proud!

It makes one wonder just what else is he capable of? That's the frightening bit.

There used to be a time when our dogs could play out on the street! Naked!

Asking for it.

What a twattish load of pretentious toss! . .

Wheelchair curling and visually impaired down-hill ski-ing.

And there, sadly, I have to leave it.

Sometimes I miss the bad old days.

This a controversial one: The new Swedish style prostitution laws that campaigners want to bring to the UK.

Under the new law, it will be legal for women to sell sex, but illegal for men to buy it. A bit like allowing heroin dealers to stand on every street corner and arresting the junkies.

Prostitution is probably one of the most difficult things to discuss in the UK because we take such a puritanical and puerile view on anything to do with sex. We also live in a society awash with hypocrisy and double standards, where some people believe the unemployed should work 40 hours a week in Poundland for their dole, but a hooker making £300 an hour is being exploited.

Feminists are strong proponents of the Swedish style laws because it punishes men - men want sex, therefore men are evil. Unless of course they are gay men who want sex, then they're fine, it's just straight men who are evil. Straight married men who want sex with someone other then their wives are pretty much considered on a par with Hitler-Satan.

As much as feminists go on about 'slut shaming' it seems to go out the window where men are concerned. Diane Abbot MP on This Week said she preferred the old system, where men busted for kerb crawling had letters sent to their wives telling them they had been arrested for soliciting a prostitute. There are those calling for stronger actions with public naming and shaming for all men who visit prostitutes - I hope the first one is some elderly disabled widower, because really, they're not even human.

As previously stated, men want sex - we want it a lot and from different partners, it's almost as if we have been biologically programmed to spread our seed as widely as possible to ensure the survival of our species - oh wait, that's a biological fact.

Sometimes, get this ladies, men just want to have sex and then leave. Yep, you heard it here first, there are men out there who have no interest in getting to know someone, taking them out to dinner, listening to them drone on about their problems, moving in with them, proposing, marrying, impregnating and then dedicating their entire lives and future finances to a single woman because they desire a bunk up.

It's almost as if men can divorce the act of sex from love, that they can separate their emotions from purely physical acts and that worst of all, they want a blowjob without having to promise to clean out the shed or visit a school play - you know, because trading sexual favours for goods and services within a relationship isn't prostitution or exploitation...is it?

Because of this shocking behaviour, they must be punished. We could always make prostitution legal and have strictly enforced standards so no one is exploited, but that makes sense and you don't get to cast scorn and indignation, plus a married straight man might have sex with someone else other then his wife and that cannot be allowed to happen, ever.

It would be nice to live in a world without prostitution, where if you wanted to have sex with someone, you just asked and there were no consequences for even daring to ask and that elaborate and confusing courtship rituals full of bizarre rules and promises were abolished. You know, like the way gay men have been doing it for thousands of years. But until that day comes, expect prostitution to continue.

The 777 was the first twin-engine plane to be immediately certified to fly over the ocean as far as 180 minutes from any emergency landing airport. Government safety regulators have determined that it could fly for nearly three hours on a single engine in the case of an emergency.

So, it can go three hours away from an emergency landing airport but can fly nearly three hours on one engine?
