Where are the big points coming from this week, George? Stamford Bridge aside, the games look flat and dull.

I wasn't very good at this when I tried to help Dan choose between Whittingham and Sterling, but here goes:

Could be some goals in the Cardiff Fulham game. Both have poor defences, but will feel that they HAVE to win; a draw is useless.

Also Stoke tend to leak goals away from home, and Norwich are good at creating chances, so may strike lucky for once.

Maybe Southampton will go for it at Palace too - they're not in any danger, so why not? That could leave spaces/opportunities for Palace to exploit.

All sounds a bit more exciting now, doesn't it? :D

Just had a look at other people's teams for this week - If I'm still in second place come 8pm tonight, then I've done well to hang on.

Only six starters today, as Eriksen still looks doubtful. Ben nearly has a full line up, while a lot of people have gone for Rooney as captain. I put Van Persie in on Monday. After the week of headlines he's had, it's either going to go one way for him, or the other.

I still had to do a few transfers, but not hit too bad. Rooney netting and getting an assist has helped me to a good start.

Rooney as captain was dumb choice on paper since he's only scored one league goal since Christmas and been playing deep. Presumably dictated by lack of funds. Still it's paid off with a goal and an assist and likely three bonus points.

Van Pricktease continues to make me question my sanity in picking him. The yellow card was a nice bonus and presumably the only bonus I'll see.

At £13.6m he is easily the most incompetently valued player in the game and surely must start circa £10m next season. If he's still playing in the Premier League, the useless, capering Dutch twat.

Van Persie's value does make a mockery of the whole thing. Sturridge is 10.5 or something and he's way ahead of RVP.

I planned to keep Van Persie for the double but I'm gonna fire him over the Ukraine border with a circus cannon now.

Still it wouldn't be the BCG without me buying Van Pearoftits and regretting it.

Van Persie was doing a superb job of nullifying Rooney until he lost the plot and got himself substituted. Rooney racked up the points from that point onwards.

RVP is dead to me. Just like Carlos Cuellar.

When he sent in that free kick for the assist I thought you'd pulled a masterstroke.
I was pleased when he went off, but obviously less pleased when Rooney went to town without involving Mata at all, the selfish sod.

I'm just glad Hazard takes the penalties.

Sorry Godot just had a look, I didn't realise you'd played your wildcard & pressed the right button.
Was that your plan? To play your wildcard in week 29 when only half the teams were playing?
For me it doesn't seem like the most logical thing to do. but that's just my opinion.

Laughing out loud Yeah, didn't see the game but they showed him bundling Rooney over in the box on MOTD. Very petulant behaviour in the league's most petulant team.

Yeah, laughed at Ross and Don buying Rooney as a poor-man's Van Persie and he delivered. Anyone who saw his England performance in the week wouldn't have expected that.

Yeah managed to actually play my wildcard this time and much good it didn't do me. The theory was to load up with a side that could manage the next two GWs with only free transfers and no hits.

Obviously Most of us will be looking to bring in Aguero as soon as he's available, but I got massively burned by city a few weeks back. I bought into them big time at the exact moment of their wobble. Also owned Aguero right at the start of the season when he cost £11m and sold him before he brought home all the big hauls you enjoyed.

I made a mistake selling him, a mistake not bringing in yaya and a mistake not bringing back Hazard. People thought Ramsay's form would dip and I knew it wouldn't, but I was very wrong about Hazard - if anything he's got better. Playing the wildcard this week was to remedy the hazard situation (which would have required two hits as he was a mil more than Yaya) and to give me some bodies for the short GW today.

We all thought it would be a non-event with scores in the tens and perhaps a few people getting 25 or something but it's been a goal fest and I was hoping to give myself a chance of gaining ten points say on Don and passing him.

True story - I've built a machine that uses patterns, algorithms and science to predict likely goalscorers. It predicted Rooney would score against West Brom, so I signed him.

I picked Rooney purely on a hunch. A hunch which paid off. Luck always plays a big part in these things. When Hazard got a hat trick the other week, I'd captained him for the first time. I thought he'd have a better game than Suarez that week, but it was nothing more than a hunch.

I stayed in exactly the same place in the Overall table
That's quite unusual, not interesting but unusual

You're just copying Steve Sunshine from last week.

Laughing out loud

Well it's been nice being in the spotlight. Tried my best to switch my team to catch the Sunshine but I've only ended up shooting myself in the foot! Still will continue to fight my corner. However that twat Erikson will not be getting a Christmas card from me. He really was a mistake long term wise!
