I'm guessing Jennie will just be happy to say "That time I went to church with the Queen..." if anything.

It sounds like the sort of occassion primary school teachers like myself get invited to every week! I think Bing Crosby said it best in 'High Society'.
They are trying to be helpful, but thank f**k my limpet like friends have buggered off.
I'm genuinely wondering if they've been on an Alpha course or something. I mean they weren't b tards at school, but certainly a bit Nelson Muntz like.
You are lucky having people around who care for you William.
Congrats to Ellie on her climb, I would've liked her FB photo but she's unfriended me.
Quote: roscoff @ 7th March 2014, 10:34 AM GMTVery posh. Only let down by the presence of the Queen. I cannot bring myself to bow...to anybody. I am a republican and I don't see why you should show deference to someone else. What makes them any better than you? Because that's what it infers surely?
I have no problems with people who think she's great. My parents do. I however beg to differ
Couldn't agree more. I may be the only person in the world who's turned down the chance to be at the annual Holyrood Bun Fight - er - I mean Garden Party. Some years ago Mr. K had to go and as I refused to accompany him, he had to take his ancient auntie instead. Although brought up to be a staunch socialist she really couldn't comnprehend why I wouldn't go. In the unlikely event that I'd have come face to face with Lizzie in the general melee, I'm afraid I just couldn't have brought myself to bow the knee.
Quote: billwill @ 7th March 2014, 3:01 AM GMTI don't think they need to now; I suspect the Post Office detail entry behind the counter is online to the DVLC and the DVLC knows if the MOT of any current car Licence number is up-to-date.
I don't think you meant to write that phrase quite like that.
Not really. Only have phone internet at moment. half the time I.cant see what I typed and the other half I can but when I try to go back and try to edit, picks a random point.
Went to.higate cemetary today, felt kind of an odd thing to do but I found it something calming about it. Given I don't know anyone buried there, not sure if that makes a bit odd.....or at least odder than I was
I think there's a load of my old relatives in there!

Was that the old Cemetery on the west side of the road which, when I visited a long time ago, was really spooky & gloomy.
The bigger chunk on the east side is open and airy & A tourist place for visiting famous Communist's tomb ?
The east side. It was the first enterance I came to picked that one. If the west side is directly across the road, I think it was closed today.

On the job market again. Been temping in the same office for 2 years and now they've pulled the plug. You do get a bit complacen.
Now applying on line. Why is so f**king long winded. What happened to the good old days of CVs?
Forget bloody cv's. Weren't heard of in the late 60's. You just filled in a one-page form.

You can always claim that you are a Marxist on a pilgrimage.
