Quote: don rushmore @ 2nd March 2014, 3:59 PM GMTMore likely 7, mate - Gabbidon has lost his place to Scott Dann.
And now I've cursed Chamakh (hamstring) so I'm down to 6. And one of the ones I dropped (Bacuna) has just scored for Villa.
It might just be that I'm not very good at this game.
Update: Gabbidon or Chadli had better come on as subs or I'm getting Bassong's o.g. as well. Still, Gerry will be pleased!
Quote: don rushmore @ 2nd March 2014, 1:48 PM GMTWhat are people's plans for next week? Just 5 games. I can only field 7 players. Does anyone have a full team available?
I just tried to bring in a few who were playing over the last couple of weeks.
Have 9 available so can hopefully field 9 or 10 without a hit
Although it has meant buying some players that Godot owns by the look of it.
Quote: Godot Taxis @ 2nd March 2014, 2:46 PM GMTs. Steve's strategy appears to be to buy the same players as me. He now as nine the same as opposed to you with 2 and 4 with Roscoff. Of course there's no law against it.
I bought in 3 of those before you & 2 the same week
As you're probably aware.
I appear to have kneed Godot in the bollocks, nicked his wallet and several points off him.
I have no idea what I'll do next week. I won't even consider it til Friday.

You had Mertesacker and Coleman a long time before I did. You, Ben and me all brought in Paulinho at the same time (god knows why), but you brought in Charlie Adam, Sturridge and Sterling after me and you've just brought in John Terry and Artur Boruc.
As I say there's no law against it and I don't blame you, most of them are good choices.

You were gone but you've just had two good weeks. I have to say you've enhanced my displeasure by being unable to remember which players you had and captaining Suarez on a whim etc..
Captaining Suarez didn't benefit me much because of Hazard and Gerrard's goals which most of the non Suarez captainers got. I did get to laugh at people captaining Adebayor though.

I haven't got Sterling
& you forgot Adebayor.
I had Boruc early in the season & only got rid when he was injured so always meant to bring him back
Adam & Terry were purely for next week.
And Sturridge I think you'll agree is or was a no brainer.
I just try to make logical decisions based on available evidence
Which there is no law against & I don't blame you for doing the same occasionally

Before this season, received wisdom was to make few transfers, one a week. Steve's blown that idea apart. He's a trailblazer.
He can't be a trailblazer if he's copying Godot and Fantasy Scout.
Hey don't you start.
Cheers Don!
I was originally following a bit of Dan Sweryt advice to make a lot of transfers
I don't think points hits are a brilliant idea, but if the lucks with you then I think it's worth clearing out deadwood quick rather than waiting for one free transfer a week all the time

Steve isn't sailing under false colours. I was trying to force a mistake, get under his skin. It worked too - outscored him by 1 point.
Ferguson may have retired but the mind games continue.
I could up the ante, mind game-wise, really embarrass and offend him. But before you know it, Steve is down the woods, drinking weed killer, writing a "goodbye, cruel world" suicide note. We don't want that.

Would that default his position? Worth a try.
Got rid of Mertesacker!
Are you happy now Godot? Your statistically dubious mind games are working as well.
But I think we're forgetting the real success story of this season
Ben
2nd bottom last season & now the team in form pushing for third.
He said he'd do better & by golly he has.
