Paddypower are giving better than 2/1 for Man Utd to win tonight against Arsenal.

That is an astounding value bet - MU are never 2/1. They may not win but betting is all about the value.

A wedge of my hard earned is on them.

That's not the definition of value Stephen. Value is where the odds are bigger than they should be. Man U in current form away to the team that has led the table for most of the season sounds like more than a 2/1 shot to me, but if it doesn't to you then fair enough.

Not that I'm a suspicious man or wish to cast aspersions - but Kolo Toure is definitely being paid off by a Malaysian betting syndicate. Don't bet on Liverpool for the rest of the season.

I wonder what the odds were on the ref getting barged over?

Well my bet was still 'live' until the last second.

But no coconut :(

I've made money betting against them this season, 3-1 to Chelsea was 13-1. I thought Utd's woeful defence was a good punt. Scorelines are risky bets I know but that one came off nicely for me. Back to normal since then.

I'm sticking to safer bets like £20 for an evens win for now. Or low odds accumulators, but I bugger those up by adding too many to up the odds. Never works (for me). Have to get in the habit of realising 9.3-1 is still good odds.

I agree Alfred.

I hope the bookies have still lost faith in Man Utd for the next few matches. I saw signs of them coming back to top form last night.

I still believe they will be a 'good thing' and hope to get my money back

Has betting on football always been as big as it is now? I don't remember that much fuss being made over it a decade ago, but now it's being forced down my throat at every turn.

The adds are much more prevalent and forceful without a doubt. Not a gambling expert by any stretch, I'm one of the so not lucky occasional dabblers who have online accounts now and that I think is why the bookmaker competition has got so fierce, the accessibility of the internet has been very lucrative indeed for them. It's given them cash to spend on tons of adverts to hook dabblers in. It IS vulgar now I totally agree. Sky especially love them, which I find off putting, but it's revenue broadcasters are there to attract ie. it's a free market you and I can't do anything about.

Has any actor ever done more to kill their credibility/spoil their reputation with an ad than Ray Winstone?

Technically, it used to be bigger when we had the Littlewood's Pools, it was a national phenomenon until that flash git The National Lottery showed up.

'Oh, you're giving away a whole, massive, ONE million pounds...ah, that's so sweet. Hey birds, check out my double rollover, you know you want it.'

Based on the system of governments we've had over the last few decades, I'm genuinely surprised that there is such widespread political support for gambling.

FA Cup giant-killing for Our Nige.

Will Fulham sack their second manager this season, I wonder?

You heard it here first.

Mourinho and Wenger's latest war of words! Laughing out loud

Love it when those two get in a scrap. Mourinho's always going to win with his pedigree.

Anybody know what the statue is in the picture montage here?
