I think I'm in need of a new defender or two, but I have to call it off until next week.
I went early on the Suarez decision, but I'm now having doubts.

Quote: Ben @ 8th February 2014, 8:51 AM GMTI've handed the captaincy over to Hazard this week.
Good luck with that, I found him to be temperamental. Handed him it for easy games and he didn't turn up, took it off him, he'd score 18pts. Got fed up and sold him for the 2nd time this season. Now I'm sticking to mid price midfielders.
Re: Hazard as cpt, depends which Newcastle team turns up at the Bridge today defensively, the one that beat Spurs and Utd 1-0 away (with Cabaye), or the rather demoralised team they've become? Can Pardew motivate them again, or will Eden's trickery win the day? Or will Jose rest him and give Salah a start?

I'll go Mertesacker
Oops

He nearly scored though.
So... Steve breaks up the SAS to swap Danny Boy for RVP.
In *theory*, Utd *should* score heavily against a poor Fulham side, so thought had crossed my mind too to bring in a Utd offensive player for this game, even short-term (but didn't).
But (playing devil's advocate), Meulensteen will be desperate to do well against his old side (and pal, Sir Alex), and will do everything he can to avoid a humiliation. Plus, he knows the Utd players inside out (except Mata). And Fulham have new signings to field, inc. their record signing striker from Greece. And Utd are pretty rubbish right now, and prone to banana skins.
Hope for Fulham's sake, who are sadly doomed for the Championship, that they can pull a rabbit from somewhere or other.
Not indulging in Utd bashing/hating here, Ben. More that I have a soft spot for Fulham, who are my *second* team.
Ozil disappointing yet again! Subbed, but at least it was about 2 seconds past the 60 min mark.

Um...
Thanks, Wes Brown

Oh dear! Fabio subbed after 12 mins. It's the Jynx Effect - you're supposed to slag a player off if you want him to do well. I learnt this from Don.
Bifouma Koulossa scores for WBA, and ruins my chance of a clean sheet. Would add a few quid to the cost of your team shirt to get his name printed on it!
Steve, you'd better keep an eye on Chappers if Nolan keeps up this scoring rate.
Quote: Ben @ 8th February 2014, 8:51 AM GMTI've handed the captaincy over to Hazard this week. Also swapped Giroud out for Benteke as he's coming back into form.
Ben has made a shrewd move

Alfred proves conclusively that the Reverse Jinx has lost none of its power.

That's why van Persie is going to do bugger all against Fulham tomorrow

Subtle.
Van Persie has scored for two games on the trot, so his form may be returning. Mind you, I said the same thing about Benteke today...
Captaining Hazard this week may have been my best decision all season. Shame Terry finally missed a game. Could have done with another clean sheet score.
Yeah, and I've left that donkey Baines in against Spurs. He'll probably get sent off.
I agree
He'll probably get bored with the lack of threat from Eriksen & Adebayor
