I like the dennis rodmans severed head line! That caught me off guard and made me laugh. You've got an ability to deliver the lines fluently which really helps, I've seen a few videos where people are speaking and you can see they are concentrating so hard on getting the lines right that they forget to put the emotion in.
One small thing, I think the fuzzy camera detracts a little from the overall feel of incisive news commentary. It might just be the way the vid was edited that has taken some of the quality during rendering. Maybe could do with a bit more light?

I like it. It certainly looks professional with the intro etc. Certainly more professional than our attempts:

Keep at it.

Jamie

Thanks so much for your support (always nervous as to the response when posting on a comedy forum!). I didn't even realise that the camera was fuzzy so thanks for flagging that up. I'll experiment with my camera and movie editing settings as it should be better than that.
You're right about the light and it's the next item on my minuscule budget. I've figured out that good sound goes a long way, so all I need now is to get the camera right. I'm hopefully getting a wide angle lens so as to zoom in and get some depth of field.

Also thanks Jamie and if I may, you could probably use an exported powerpoint for your visuals and a better microphone then you''re away.

Really appreciate your support

Hayden

Enjoyed that.

Here's the new one. Absolutely no click bait at all.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56P9KMtp34o

Well spoken, if a bit ranty. My only advice is get better gags for the articles you're reporting on.

Thanks Nick. It's a work in progress. I'm attempting to do once a week so hopefully will have time to craft the script a bit more.

I'm enjoying these Hayden,

Positives:
- You've got a good delivery and I'm much preferring your latter style of ranting but far less shouty.
- Good use of visuals and pleasing to see them credited. If you're not already familiar with "fair use" policy, it's worth googling it as there are ways to better protect yourself.
- Good audio quality.

Development:
- I find the plain backdrop rather tedious. Given its a very solid colour can you "green screen" some titles, logo, or something relevant to the story behind you. It would add another layer of professionalism to the product.
- Linked to the above, how about changing your camera angle between stories for variety. It would mean separate takes but could add to the variety.
- And in reference to takes, you stumbled over birds of prey in your latest piece. Given your otherwise flawless delivery, it stood out and it's worth a retake if you're a perfectionist.

Thanks Alison,

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Been an extremely busy week. I agree with everything. Unfortunately some of it (such as green screen, lighting, different shots etc), I need more time and resources. Definitely near the top of my video to do list though. May see if I can do some fast animations....

Thanks Tor, appreciated the comment!

Liking the whimsy... agreed with comments. I think theres scope to smooth out the delivery for a more professional look. Very good delivery.

It's been six months in the making (by that I mean 3.5 hours), but here is a new episode of News Report. I have already made a pro Scottish independence person angry, which to be fair, isn't too hard to do. Please do subscribe and like if you are won't to do - http://youtu.be/ywM4w5yu1Sw
