At first I had little time for Katie Hopkins, viewing her as another professional wind up artist but then I started reading Internet reactions to her television appearances, such as Oldrocker's misogynistic desire to inflict actual bodily harm on a woman and now I think she is fantastic.
Though I don't agree with much she has to say, she's a breath of fresh air from the usual simpering, passive aggressive, bullying. Mumsnet liberal Stepford Wives. Watching women on television programmes all adopting the same 'doe eyed' faux sympathy face whenever something contentious hits the headlines turns my stomach. Combined with the wilful, calculated and hypocritically deceptive tone that the pancake faced robo-bints pull out to reinforce the party line that all women must think a particular way is both horrific and sad.
What I like most about Katie Hopkins though is her honesty in saying that some people aren't very good parents. And in dumb, track suited, ugly chav land, saying you're not a good parent to your chocolate munching, shaven headed, hooded criminal bastard is just about the most abhorrent thing you can utter. The only thing worse is telling them that they have a shit tattoo.
So you go Katie, you ignore the threats of violence and the petitions to limit your freedom of speech from the angry underclass sheep. And even though your fellow feminists have abandoned you because you're a successful, high profile, working mother who speaks her mind - good job ladies - I'll champion your cause.
I find her witless, unfunny and exploitative as well as a bully.
Which makes her no different to the bulk of simpering TV arseholes on during the day. She's got a role to play, posh Wicked Witch of the West. Getting angry with her and not getting cross, with Holly Wiloughby, pretty, working class, patronising dim wit is silly.
And that's not even mentioning the blokes, including Amon Holmes who should be a Yardie with a name like that.
