Princes, Philip, Charles, Harry and William, they don't half come out with some belters but the costumes are priceless.

For me, Partridge is the funniest. Such a detailed character study.

Alan Partridge.

A character that is layered beyond belief and never gets old. He's also endlessly quotable.

David Brent comes second but Gervais has ruined the character a bit for me with stupid reprisals.

You been watching his Mid Morning Matters on Sky?

It's that brilliant I can ALMOST forgive him for the awful (in my opinion selling out) Papa Alpha film.

I'm going to watch that with my anglophile friends tonight. I'm very curious.

I watched Mid Morning Matters when it first aired on YouTube like a true fan ;) I thought it was very good and a lot more down to earth Partridge than we usually get to see, I suppose they could afford to do that with it being a low budget spin off.

Alpha Papa was a big screen outing and therefore Alan needed to be a bit more larger than life. Is that why you thought it was selling out? I thought it was brilliant.

For years Coogan said a Partridge film would never happen, then lo and behold he changed his mind (£££).

Don't get me wrong, I love everything Partridge but for me the film just felt like a drawn out episode of the show with the gags even more so. I'm sure plenty of people loved it, I think perhaps I was just expecting a bit too much.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Moss from the IT Crowd.

Also Jeff from Coupling was wonderful.

Love this scene when he finally meets a girl on a train when he has only ever seen one of her legs, and the back of her head.
