Ooh, didn't know about that.

That...only without the "ooh", that sounds gay. ;)

Nice pink guitar there, Gordon. ;)

Damn!

( Laughing out loud )

Does anyone here like Wire? I'm a bit of a fan.

I only have the Pink Flag album. I love it!

You've got a lot to catch up on, Gordon! The way their music has continually changed is astonishing.

By coincidence, I listened to Mannequin the other day when Edwyn Collins (Orange Juice) tweeted about it:

Have their recent album, Change Becomes Us, but haven't really listened to it much.

I'm playing the debut album by Band Of Skulls now, which is really good. Nothing like Wire though.

I'm thinking about ordering their second album, Chairs Missing.

You have a thing about pink, don't you?! ;)

Change Becomes Us is brilliant, back to form after the disappointing(for me) Red barked Tree. At this rate, Gordon should get round to buying it in about twenty years! (Instead of Chairs Missing, get one of their late eighties gems, The Ideal Copy or A Bell is a Cup)

I'll shut up now, I'm becoming boring.

Rock n Roll is never boring. Advertising a band so that others get the chance of learning about music unknown to them is a good thing.

Here in Switzerland...or at least in Basel you won't find any Wire cds in the stores. The cool stores all went bancrupt so there's only the higly commercial, Justin Bieber adoring shops left. So it's easy to forget about Wire, sadly. I needed to get reminded of their brilliance.

Buy them online. www.pinkflag.com

Not sure whether to put this in the pop/rock or what are you drinking threads.

Status Quo are re-releasing their Piledriver album and to commemorate Wychwood are producing a Piledriver beer.
