Hi,
I performed my first stand-up routine a few days ago. As a complete amateur it would be great to see what you guys think of my performance.
Many thanks!!

Well done! I enjoyed that, you looked confident and no sign of awkwardness. The audience seemed to get into it too.
I didn't think the Jimmy Saville worked so well as you started with a genuine (was it?) funny bit from the bible then launched into a parody bit so for me that just didn't come across so well and it went on a tad too long, I would have liked a bit more material in there, not just focusing on the Bible. I did like the granddad part though it could have been delivered better as it seemed a little contrived.
Hope you keep going with it
Thanks Shandonbelle.
I agree the punchline of the Jimmy Saville bit didn't work as well I as wanted. Although, the lead up got laughs. I was thinking of having more focus at the start about the bible predicting future events which should make that punchline more relevant.
The granddad bit, I've been thinking of extending and making more solid.
Thanks again for your comment, it's much appreciated.
That was great, very confident and well presented. I don't think the bit about Jim being innocent was needed, but you probably know that as it didn't get a laugh and most of it did. just cut the jimmy bit off after reading the bible, it doesn't need such a long explanation. and the granddad bit was ok, not a strong joke but maybe create a lot more confusion, tell it as a story with your granddad telling you since your nan died his having to do selfies and your wondering if your granddad is up with the lingo or telling you way to much information! your presentation would lend you well to that type of story I think, but everyone's a critic, but if I had seen that at a stand up show id have laughed and found it funny, so job done really, keep up the good work!
Thanks for your comments FunyHaha, I agree about removing the Jim was innocent bit. I like your comment about the Granddad selfies, very funny.
The whole thing felt dragged out, without much real content. Knew exactly where the selfie gag was going and again, it felt drawn out. One thing you do have for a first timer is confidence and you look at ease on stage.
I'd like to see a few more jokes in your future gigs.
Good delivery, it's great you were so relaxed. I reckon that's the biggest hurdle jumped, from now on it's all tuning.
Thought the Bible stuff was fun, but I enjoyed the real (?) quot more.
Selfie/wanking gags are pretty tired now, but I think you could use it as a starting point for more unlikely slang misunderstandings: Grandad said "in my day, scrobbling meant sucking off a bishop in the town square whilst dressed as an otter".
