Yes.

And Yes.

A Christmas Carol was good.

The Next Doctor was pants.

is that the one with Matt Smith and it was actually about time travel, now that was some good telly.

I really liked the 50th anniversary minisodes, really nice compact, purposeful story telling.

I agree:

I will concede that A Christmas Carol wasn't bad. Partly because Moffat borrowed heavily from Charles Dickens, let's hope he won't develop a habit of ripping off other great literary works...whoops.

:P

That was the least interesting part of a story, well alongside Rory and Amy's drearily kinky sexlife.

But it was a show about a time traveller that featured time travel, with a nicely sad ending.

Proof that Dr Who can do intelligent, original story telling better than anyone else. When the writers etc focus on it. If Dr Who annoys me rather than makes me ignore it, it's because it has so much unfulfilled potential. And of late has gone for a mixture of Buffy style grand soap opera and Star Trek effects neither of which it does well. Mixed in with some astonishingly bad story telling techniques.

David Tennant's first Christmas special was excellent.

Considering Tennant hardly did anything in it!

He was asleep for about the first third, yes!

Which was probably why it was such a good episode!

The Tenant one with sword fighting and killer Christmas trees and Santas.

That was great fun, very simple minded actioner, but it was a huge amount of fun.

What kind of alien has a "spaceship" that has a button, that crumbles away apart of the edge?

Yes, Tennant's awful. I don't know why he's constantly in work...

A silly Space Opera one

there's room enough for some silly Space Opera

Not when its in EVERY episode!

There's been rather a lot of it of late.

Trying to think of the last actual science fiction episode.

Doctor Who has become Fantasy/Soap/Bedroom Farce lately!
