Ficees the Gleerak goes to School SKETCH Page 5

Japi - The sketch left me cold as I find techi sc-fi terminology, either real or made up dull and for me it just was too far out.
It's madness getting into disagreements to this extent on the strength of one sketch, write some more, get a feel for what suits you, take critique graciously and put your energies into getting your stuff the best it can be.

Well, I thought it was marvellous, and couldn't be improved.

As for getting your stuff out there into the real world - I think your responses have shown that you are a long way from that.

take critique graciously

Again, I don't know what this perceived slight is. I'd suggest you read my comments in a slightly less vitriolic tone than whatever one you're projecting on to them.

"Which bits are hard to understand? I'm sincerely baffled as to how any of it is hard to follow." was me asking sincerely as to which bits were hard to understand. I wasn't being sarcastic.

I haven't posted an angry defence of my work accusing anyone of not getting it. I've thanked the people who gave their time to post constructive feedback. I'm as confused as to why I'm the bad guy here, as I was in the first instance as to why my sketch was apparently so difficult to follow.

Anyway, I stand by everything I've said, including the bit about not responding to myself. I don't think anyone that matters from the "real world" would read this topic and think anything ill of me. I'd hope they'd be as bemused as I by the reaction. Even warm to me. Yeah, f**k it, let's keep this going. I might get a job offer.

There are household-name level professionals who have already posted on these boards, so it's quite possible that someone who 'matters' has/will read it, if getting on in comedy is what 'matters' to you.

That's some fox news style quoting you did there. If someone who 'matters' reads my comments I don't think I've said anything that would chase them off.

It could have been worse:
