I think I just had an affair with a Christmas tree.
I was walking to work and outside one of the houses was this sultry looking Christmas tree waiting around. I thought "hello, haven't seen you here before?!?!"
I passed by pretending not to notice but I couldn't' help but stare. But then I think it noticed me and I was so embarrassed. Totally got busted checking out the lower branches. I just keep imaging what it would have looked like wrapped in tinsel and bawbels. I don't know if it was love. How can any one be sure? I had that James Blunt song playing in my head though and now it's stuck in my head. I wonder if she'll still be there when I get back?!?!?

Just sent the following to the Subway customer care team:
"I am writing to you with reference to an issue at your Peterborough store on [Street Name]. This is not so much a problem for me but one that needs attention because it is a heck of a problem for your staff.
I am a regular visitor to Subway and a few days ago I noticed an incessant beeping sound while stood at the counter. As I was being served I spoke to a member of staff and I was told that it related to the fire alarm and had been going non-stop since Sunday the 19th of January. As of this lunchtime that is 9 days straight and to have to listen to that sound for so long is totally unacceptable for anyone.
I have timed the sound and the bleep lasts 1 second and happens every 4 seconds. That's 15 times a minute, 900 times an hour and over a 7 hour shift that's 6,300 beeps in total. Over 24 hours that's 21,600 so in the course of the 9 days this alarm has beeped at least 194,400 times!!
I wouldn't be at all surprised if once your staff finish for the day they continue hearing that sound wherever they go - I know for a fact I can hear it my head right now and frankly Mr Subway it's beginning to bore me too. I'm already deaf in one ear so I can't be too careful.
I would also like to know if this 'bleeping' fault has compromised the fire alarm system and that staff and patrons safety has already been compromised. I would hate to have to run for my life a single bite into my 6" turkey breast & ham with peppered cheese, lettuce, onions, peppers and tomatoes on hearty Italian bread.
Call it silly if you will but as an act of solidarity for the workers suffering the ear pollution I am going to boycott all Subway stores until this issue has been resolved.
