An out-of-date Fun Size Milky Way with an apple. I swear Fun Size gets smaller and smaller. I don't understand why it's not called Even-Less-Fun Size.

Dollar store kilbasa with store brand mac and cheese. It tastes better than it sounds.

Couldn't even begin to guess what it is.

I screwed up again. The word is "kielbasa" but as it's Dollar Store brand I probably wasn't so far off. It's not even actual kielbasa, but rather an over glorified hot dog.

Basically I cut into pieces, throw it into boiling water and then add cheap store brand macaroni. Sometimes after I drain the water I'll throw actual cheese in along with the cheese powder to give it a bit more substance.

It's nothing I'd put in front of a celebrity chef but it does the trick.

I had springbok burgers earlier that I picked up at Borough market. They were lovely. A bit like venison and seasoned perfectly.

Cheese powder????

Is that what they coat Wotsits in?

I'm having haggis tonight! I love haggis!

Currently slow roasting some honey and mustard pork shoulder. Going to cut it up and use it for my sandwiches next week. Later on it's roast beef for dinner. It's roast heaven today.

Today I'm slow roasting a ham hock. Starting to think that maybe I need a break from all this red meat...

Porks white meat isnt it

But if you went veg for a week and went back to meat you'd totally blow your mind.

Well, it's a funny one. I don't think anyone truly agrees on what it is. It's red before it's cooked and then... well, bacon and ham go kind of pink, a pork joint such as shoulder goes kind of white. I only really class chicken as white meat.

It's more about digestability isn't it

In that pork, chicken, turkey etc are easy to digest but have to be completely cooked or they'll poison you

Where as venison, beef and lamb can be eaten rare but are harder to digest.

I wonder what the kangaroo burgers I'm going to eat at the weekend are classed as...

Kangaroo and osterich are both red meats

but crocodile and frogs are white meat

How about zebra? :)
