Only Fools And Horses Twitter campaign 26 million Page 2

Wonder how far down that list of 26 million names you have to go, before finding the inevitable 'Jesus Christ', 'Incredible Hulk' and 'Papa Smurf' signatures? #page1

I'd like your view on the camapin and the prospects of bringing it back?

I think any serious campaign, if done in Britain by a British person, should take the time and effort to use correct spelling in its written material (including postings on websites). Otherwise it may risk coming across as childish.

Are we sure there hasn't been a mistake and that David Jason is in actual fact reprising his Blanco role from Porridge instead?

Laughing out loud

Spot on!

I've heard the signatures are now up to 100 million. And the Pope's getting involved. So that should sort it.

I doubt any new Fools episodes will be made, I don't see the point of bringing it back for a sketch either.

No, there isn't really a point but I'd like to see it for old times sake.

What might've been worth doing doing was a one off special with DJ reprising his most popular roles in a few short playlets. Still Open All Hours as a 10-15 minuter and Blanco on the outside after his release from prison in Porridge. You could even have A Bit of a Do from ITV. Oh, and what about Frost interviewing Del Boy - that would be a giggle too.

Yeah, I know - I'm a sentimental arse. :)

I don't know why there's so much negativity about this. I find it ironic and a little depressing that the people who are being so vitriolic about the very notion of it returning are those same people who have wrought so much happiness and laughter from the series over so many years.

Fair point, but (for me) it's not negativity about the actual programme so much as the exaggerated claims of 26 million people petitioning for its return.

Del Boy falls through a BBC comedy commissioning bar...

...and Trigger makes a face.

Everyone has their opinion. I loved David Jason in Still Open All Hours. The man is a genius comedy actor who it seems to be not liked in this forum and disrespected. Just remember it was the same David Jason who got 16 million viewers on Only Fools And Horses. A British record for a sitcom! You have very short memories. David Jason who at age 73 got the highest vieiwng figures in this year's Christmas schedule (Still Open All Hours) with 9 million viwers, so somebody must have been watcing! Now there are 26 million real fans wanting a return of OFAH, a much larger amount than the 4 peolpe in here. I'm going to rejoin the geunine fans on the campain to bring back Only Fools And Horses. I wish never even enter this site. 26 million fools are right and you 4 are wrong in my opinion. Thank you for nothing.

Heavily edited by Aaron for spelling, grammar, and general legibility.

Not edited for any kind of sense. For which I don't blame you Aaron.

What do you think the word wrought means Dave?

Created.

Doesn't make sense in the context in which you used it then really, does it?

It does if you believe, like I do, that television is very much a two-way relationship with some sort of endeavour being made on both sides of the screen.

And do fairies live in the bottom of your garden?
