Rock And Roll's Greatest Failure: Otway The Movie

Has anyone seen this yet? I have a ticket for Friday in Newcastle and am really looking forward to it after reading the reviews online.

Well as you'll probably see if you search I've started a couple of threads on Otway.

Hope it goes well. I haven't seen it yet but looking forward to doing so as I'm a credited "Producer."

Is Otway making an appearance? I think he's hoping to get enough screenings to qualify for BAFTA nomination.

Hi Chappers , I saw your posts, but they were from a long time ago. I didn't know Otway was still going. I will report back if he has any chance at all of gaining a DAFTA

They may have started a long time ago but there have been recent postings - mostly by me.

This movie is way beyond any expectation. I have never been to a movie where every seat was full for ages. I was very cynical about claims in revues that said this was funnier than Spinal Tap, but have to agree. If you know very little or even nothing about John Otway it makes it even funnier.

I wish I had known about this earlier, I would have loved to have a producer credit and be associated with something that is due to be a cult comedy classic

The difference between this and Spinal Tap is that Spinal Tap is fictitious.

It's official. Otway the movie has been approved for BAFTA nomination.

If it's votes that count you all know what to do.

Maybe we'll be nominated for Producer.

BAFTA nominations will be announced tomorrow morning at 7.35am.

Will I be a Producer of a BAFTA nominated film?

Hope so. Good luck!

Yeah, good luck, Chappers!

Unfortunately not.

I'd still be interested in watching the movie.

Me too. Some Producer eh?

Will this be released on DVD?

Hopefully.
