It was Russell Harty, not Parky, Gordon.

Never much liked Harty, always seemed sneery; the only time I've had sympathy for him was during the Grace Jones incident.

I liked Harty. Found him fun, and cheeky rather than sneery. Parky was way too dull. (Not that you were saying you preferred him.)

I found this Morrissey/Hitler video quite funny:

Gordon (and Chappers, Ben, Radish, Tursiops) just noticed that BBC4 are repeating The Ballad of Mott the Hoople tonight at 1am. Fun & informative, Ian Hunter is a great interviewee.

Thank you very much, George. I'm going to record it.

We can see many foreign TV channels here in Switzerland. Don't ask me why...we even get them for free. We only pay a fee for our own crappy channels.

See here (the section: international channels):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_in_Switzerland

But we can see far more channels than listed in the Wikipedia article.

That's a right Swizz.

We have to pay for all that.

I shall write to the Postmaster General..

'Dear General . . '

One of the Everly Brothers has died?

Yes.

:(

I have seen them live on the Simon & Garfunkel farewell tour.

I just watched it again. As good as I'd remembered, if not better.

Forgot about the anti-Swiss bit though. Whistling nnocently

Missed the Mot thing as I wasn't up to date on here. Still being BBC4 it's bound to be repeated.

Roger Day on Radio Surrey played loads of Everleys on his show this evening.
