HI all
Well here we are again with my One day course on How NOT to write sitcom.
It's January 11th in Central London and the price is £85 for the day.
If interested please contact www.writingsitcom.co.uk
As you will all know - sitcom is one of the hardest forms of comedic and dramatic writing. 90% of the scripts I receive fall at the first fence - the first ten pages, be it down to concept (simply not fitting the format style or current market) characters (too many, too unlikeable, too bland), plot (no one can plot for shit) dialogue (banter and chitchat is NOT what sitcom is all about) or lack of jokes (unfunny or trying too hard to be funny). If you can get this right in ten pages, you are away. Most don't. I have helped many sitcom and comedy 'names' (Dan Renton Skinner, Simon Blackwell, Katherine Tate, etc) in the past and of course I make no guarantees, but this is a friendly, intimate (never more than eight to the class) and fun way of exploring your ideas in a supportive environment.
Hope to hear from some of you. Testimonials are all on the site.
