Huh?
should be a rule about pulling a first post If its pants we all want to laugh at it
Oh no, I got that. Your sarcastic character was making insults about a ginger fella. What I missed was (1) whats funny about that? (2) what path was the sketch meant to go on, e.g. beginning, middle and end, because there what you had was just BLAH, and (3) just huh?
Not another one? Is this some new fashion?
Why do people remove sketches? Surely the whole point of putting something on critique is to see if other people like it. If they dont so what, just leave it and move on, everyone has written a bad sketch. By the way James mate this in not a dig at you, it's just recently a lot of people have been removing there sketches.
Everyone loves a ginger gag right?
im peronally quite chuffed of my
"did a pigeon eating a tangerine shit on your head"
2% of the world are ginger they are the minority...they wont mind!
As a passing comment in a conversation perhaps. But a series of one-lined insults does not a sketch make.
i would disagree...if it makes people laugh...they'd watch it!
im not saying insults are a good...but they are funny!!
I agree with your first sentence - if something is funny they'll watch it. The structure should not matter, agreed, because if its making you laugh thats all that matters.
But I wouldn't find a sketch of just insults funny. Sawyer in Lost is great because his little jabs pop up out of nowhere, are funny and original, and are not the focus of the programme. Blackadder has a lot more to it than Blackadder insulting Baldrick.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Post the sketch again and see what other people think. If you don't learn to handle criticisms from fellow writers, you won't be able to handle it from the people that really matter.
Charisma mate I agree that handling criticism is vitally important if you want to succeed. This site has helped me so much in handling criticism of people.

James, it's kind of how do I put it... bad manners to put a sketch up then remove it, if you don't want feed back don't post the sketch in the first place.
If there was an issue with it, we could have discussed it and then found out a way of improving it.
