Looks like the Blackburn debacle all over again.

Cardiff City: Malky Mackay told to quit or be sacked by Vincent Tan

Um - that's a difficult one. if I resign I won't get any compensation and could get sued for breach of contract.

On the other hand if I'm sacked I could sue them.

Tricky decision eh?

Constructive dismissal ?

Could Spurs have your manager too please, Gordon? :)

There is a rumour about the FC Basel management wanting to get rid of Yakin...so it's quite possible for him to become a manager in the Premier League.

I'm planning to watch the Arsenal v Chelsea match later on. Hope it's a good one. Difficult to say what the result will be. I'm thinking a 1-1 draw. Can't see it being that open a game.

Sherwood's got the Spurs job until the end of the 14/15 season.

Like I care . .

And somewhere Glenn Hoddle throws a whisky glass against a wall.

Highlights will probably last about 2 mins if you're lucky. I took a 20 min nap during it, and didn't miss a thing.

Worth watching the Saints v Spurs highlights though. Adebayor's first goal was a thing of beauty. One of the best goals I've ever seen. Incredible agility and skill.

Not the worst 0-0 ever last night night, but Mourinho's comments about Arsenal afterwards were much more entertaining.

Very pleased with Tim's appointment; there should be more Tim's in positions of responsibility.

And watching AVB's mind-numbing keep ball was slowly killing me.

And watching AVB's mind-numbing keep ball was slowly killing me.

It certainly killed him. I think he was clueless as a coach, a Being There type, just managed to have a good season or two in a minor foreign league and talked and looked good in front of camera, all a bit of media mugging. Getting the Chelsea job was surprise enough, but after making doughty Chelsea look duller, he astonishingly got handed the Spurs job! Eh? What planet was Levy on, was there ever a less Spurs suited coach than him to start with? His stats were a first in prem football - 70% possession, lose 5 or 6 nil. They'll never be another like him. Eh?

Despite two failures in two years, I suspect AVB will probably get appointed manager of a top club again. I don't really understand the way management appointments work. It always irks me when a player retires and within a few years walks into a management job at a PL team. Wouldn't it be better to learn their trade lower down the divisions?

Don't disagree more young British coaches should be given chances but I think Sherwood's been extremely fortunate to land a contract after one game! That's 1 game!!! By being so up front about what he wants, Tim's put pressure on himself to succeed instantly now. If he falters, he'll be out, Spurs obviously have the money to burn.

Oh yes, Ross Barklay's goal the other day. :O Hodge, time to use Lampard in a more secondary role, maybe, you know, at 36 and all that. Barklay, Lallana, Townsend, Walcott, Ox when fit, who says England don't have midfielders?

Great goal by Rooney just now. Think there will be a few more yet.
