Dyer was dire for me last night. In fact Swansea were #consistencyofjelly. If you can't beat Hull at home whats the chances?

Quote: Godot Taxis @ 22nd August 2013, 2:29 PM BSTYes well done to Rob H who's started with a very high score. His rankings from previous years are not that high though so I think Gerry remains the one to get in front of.
So far so good Godot
Sorry I was reading the beginnings of the thread & needed to quote something so I didn't have to search for it again.
1,314 was my highest overall rank a week or two ago but I've plummeted out of the top 5000 now
The tinkering shall be my downfall.
I Want Rooney & Ozil back

You had my sympathies, until I realised you were using Gerry's Sneaky injury transfer trick.
Forgive me if it was Alzheimers.

Gerry's my hero. Him and Imelda Marcos.
Get well soon, Don.
Anyone Thinkering of Tinkering this week?
I've done mine already.

I've took another points hit. And I'm regretting it already.
There's a few injuries around, you won't have the only points hit.
Well you definitely won't as I've made 2 transfers.
It's a tricky week with Man City Arsenal & Tottenham Liverpool.
Both interesting games.

I'll probably have a quick tinker with my defence this weekend. Not sure who yet. I tend to leave my transfers til the Saturday morning to avoid any injuries in training.

Can I borrow a player or two? Three injured one doubtful #wheelscomingoff
Almost picked a non Suarez player as captain.
Chickened out though
The December schedule's very tough and the players can't be rested so I've allowed my lot extra prostitutes in alleyways, free ridiculous haircuts and more pizzas to throw at managers. They seemed happy at that so I'm hoping it lifts their game today. But I didn't agree to Saurez's requests, instead I've dropped him as captain.
I've drafted in a Newcastle defender for Evra this week. Hoping that their defence doesn't fall to pieces suddenly...
To echo everyone else - get well soon Don.

I've gone for Rooney as captain. It's a decision that might kill me off, but I had to go against common sense the grain.

Here's a couple of better quotes from the beginning of the thread:
Quote: Gerry McDonnell @ 8th August 2013, 9:56 AM BSTWelcome to the newbies
I apologise in advance for crushing you all.
Quote: Godot Taxis @ 17th August 2013, 2:23 PM BSTThree seasons without injury? I predict Van Purse Empty will fall getting off the bus and knacker his cruciate.
Quote: Godot Taxis @ 8th August 2013, 11:52 PM BSTVan Persie wasn't even the third highest goal scorer last season if exclude penalties and factor in time played. But he was the most expensive. He also had some lucky decisions - I haven't forgotten that hattrick of offside goals against Villa. I doubt you have either.
He's even more expensive this time round, despite the fact that United haven't really strengthened their team and there's a very real chance of them finishing third. I wouldn't buy him.
To be fair to Gerry, last season I came from second bottom to third and took all of you out one by one. I was gaining on Percival Marsh in 2nd and would have passed him if the season had been longer. Gerry however I would never have reached because he played consistently well every week.
He's been a bit erratic this season and made some comedy transfers (Morrison, Walcott) but he should still be feared.

Ha! classically invoked a brace from the fantasy gods. Merry Christmas Gerry.
