Why did Derek Acorah cross the road?

To build a creer on deception, lies and the exploitation of hope?

To get to "the other side".

To get to "the other side".

To get the big feather.

Why did Derek Acorah cross the road?

Because he wanted to exorcise

Thank you all so much for your input and comments,
I love it when I thing I've got and idea for a joke because you people can take my idea that is often executed badly and make it brilliant, thank you so much.

obviously the excellent ending to "why did Derek Acorah cross the road" is: "To get to the other side!" that is just genius! love the simplicity and I will be steeling it so thank you!

however on a slightly of key style how about?

Why did Derek Acorah Cross the road?
Because he had just crashed his car and didn't want to explain to the police that he didn't see it coming.

I'm surprised people haven't been harder on the joke that started the thread though, the whole spirit/alcohol thing is so dated that any variation on it now sounds lame imo.

As usual, Badge gave us a fine joke (assuming that was the punch).

We could try to continue the theme:
How many Derek Acorah's does it take to change a lightbulb?
What's the difference between Derek Acorah and a (whatever)?
Derek Acorah walks into a bar and...

Derek Acorah walks into a bar and says to the barman I'm getting a name! it's a girl, does Stella mean anything to you? I think she was Fostered, in or around 1664, had a sister named becky, everyone called her Becks, was killed by a Snakebite, had a brother named Bailey who was part Irish, her Sol is trapped, the After Shock is strong.
