If I post a thread (joke, skit ,sketch etc.) can someone buy it off me. Also if I find out my material is being used, what is the law. And also again, how do I sell my material to comedians,I do not know how to get in contact with them.
What is the law?

Ah hem. Steps forward.
1.Course. Money can change hands for all kinds of reasons. Will they? Unlikely (and I don't mean that unkindly, I've not read anything you've written to my knowledge).
2.If you are the author of a literary work, you are protected under the Copyright Design and Patents Act 1988. Copyright does not protect ideas, just the literary expression of those ideas. In order to infringe copyright, another individual must copy/adapt a "substantial" part of the original work.
HOWEVER. You would have to:
a) prove that you are the original author of the work
b) prove that they have copied a substantial part of it
c) have made sure they are financially solvent and thus worth suing.
3. Don't know. Why not write for yourself and see if you can make it?
I generally hide behind a bush and if I hear someone making a joke.
I leap and offer to sell them a joke.
I also bate giant pieces of flypaper with knock knock jokes.

Another writer once stole an idea I'd had for their own work and pitched it to the BBC before I had the chance. Their excuse was "there's no copyright on ideas". I would have punched them in the mouth, but I'm a girl and afraid.
Just do it. And name names. It's not an idea that gets you work it's hundreds of them.

Nah, it's alright now, years ago and sorted. The writer did also claim that I had given them permission to use the idea, which considering it was a time of massive upheaval in my life might embarrassingly be true, as I can quite see me (at the time) thinking "What's the point in anything!?" and just giving away my intellectual property. It wasn't the best idea anyway and it didn't go anywhere.

Shame - violence is my preferred method for dealing with most legal disputes. Cheaper and more satisfying.
I am learning something called "Krav Maga" in the new year - I hope to be properly scary when I've mastered that.

Sorry Marc, but I think a certain sportswear chain have the rights to that one

Excellent, you'll learn a karate chop, but the pork chop is forbidden.
The law is an ass!

It's the thing that beat the Clash, but that's not important right now.
