Joke critique thread. Page 2

I would have thought having "Shadow Chancellor" written right at the beginning would set it up, but never mind. And I know it's not a particularly good joke, but it made me laugh a good few times, and I was just trying to warm back into writing one-liners.

Ah, balls. I should know that; I'm well into Tim Vine! But surely if I'm unconsciously writing jokes like Tim Vine, that can only be a good thing?

Apparently the Queen holds regular balls at Balmoral , sometimes irregular.

Variation on a John Sullivan Del Boy gag to the lady with the dangly chandelier which is probably a variation on an old music hall one.

Particularly as it's cactus, cacti is the plural.
