Only Kipper captaining Aguero this week? :).

Interesting reading some of the comments on the Scout forum - still some people without Ramsay. They talk about him as 'one for the casuals' - ie a player who only impresses people who don't know much about football. A couple of them are champing at the bit to get in Walcott. Hilarious.

I have captained Aguero with reservations.

Interesting to see that after one 1-0 game involving two lower teams, one individual has already secured 38 points for the week. And it is virtually impossible to believe.

Currently the dream team for the week is showing that bonus points were awarded as follows: Chamakh 3, Bannan 2, Delaney 2, Moxey 2, Ward 2, Gabbidon 2, Speroni 2.

I thought that the rule was that bonus points were to be awarded to just three players in any one game. What am I not understanding about the bonus point system?

Aguero Shapero. Going on the fact that Man City's away form has been dreadful so it's the arm biter for me. The little minx!

What am I not understanding about the bonus point system?

Last season the bonus points were usually awarded to Van Persie, even if he did nothing (throughout his lulls he continued to accrue). This was explained as being based on the fact that he had been significant on the field in other ways, but it was never explained how other players didn't get bonus points for being 'significant' on the field. Juan Mata springs to mind - getting a bonus once in the whole season if I remember rightly.

This season they have applied different criteria, but if you watch the whole game it's still difficult to understand why they have awarded as them as they have. The recent Merseyside Derby is a good example; where Mirallis got 2 bonus pts and Suarez got 1. They both scored, assisted once and got a yellow card. In addition Suarez put five shots on target to Mirallis' 2 and of course Mirallis should have been sent off before his assist for the high challenge on Suarez.

It's hard not to conclude that the bonus points are awarded to who they want to award them to and there is no impartial system or criteria.

Thanks GT - and interesting.

It is a good job that the people who manage the system aren't involved in any betting on the outcome. :)

Legendary I'd say -

I may well reach three figures for this week's score once subs and bonus points are taken into account. Exciting times. Although I imagine the average score will be high this week due to Suarez's heroics.

Anyone who captained Suarez shan't get a Christmas card from me. Just sayin'.

Well done Ben
104 points, the highest weekly total of the season
Does that put you up to 4th?

Ben laughs at a meager 104, he's clocked 107.

Congrats Ben, that's a fantastic effort. I've never hit three figures, even on a double-gameweek :O

Yeh! Well done Angry Scored well you would think at 79. Lost ground to Sunshine and Splodge is rapidly making second place feel rather uncomfortable. Christmas Day training for my lot and an early night.

(I've never broken 99 Teary )

Extra training for my lot too. The usual winter regime of water cannon and baton rounds for the youth team.

I note with dismay that I haven't had a clean sheet since GW3. F**king poor. I could fantasise that City had been playing at home this week and you all captained Aguero, but what's the point?

48pts from one player and it's virtually no use - incredible. :)

So who are all we captaining this week please - Suarez or Aguero? :)

I could tell you but then I'd have to beat you to death with Jose Mourinho's ego.

For some reason I thought you had to use your Wildcard before January, I've checked and that doesn't seem to be the case.

I may take a points hit this week due to suspensions & whatnot.

Thanks, guys! It's a great score. All thanks to Suarez.
