Coming Soon: An A-Z of On The Buses

Coming soon to bookstores is my third book about the hit British sitcom On The Buses.

An A-Z of On The Buses covers all aspects of the sitcom such as all cast and all crew bios, a full character bio of each character, anecdotes from cast and crew, rare interviews with the late Bob Grant, details of the buses used and what became of them and a range of black and white photos. Also the book contains references made, plot lines covered and lots more.

The book will launch in a special event on Friday the 29th of November 2013 at The Club for Acts and Actors, 20 Bedford Street, Covent Garden, London (Doors open at 10.30am and launch starts at 11 am). Also in attendance so far will be ex-actress Andria Lawrence, bit part actor Harry Fielder and ex-Hammer employee Phil Campbell.

If you wish to attend you will need an invite which can be obtained from myself (the author)so feel free to email me or PM me here.

I hope you enjoy the book.

E-Excellent

A shame you don't understand the long lasting quality factor. More than 40 years after it first aired it is still deemed worthy of repeats due to high viewing figures. It still gains a new generation of fans and has fan clubs based in all four corners of the world from Australia to Canada and Scandinavia to South Africa.

Well Said Craig

A is for Atrocious, B is for Badly Aged, C is for Chauvinistic...

B would be for Bus. The others are fine, though.

When does this book actually come out? I looked on Amazon and it just says it's not released yet.

Sadly, I had to cancel with publisher as pricing oversight meant they wanted to reprice it from £14.99 to £29.99 and so I declined. I do have 40 of the books in my possession which I am selling via my author's website and am currently in talks with two other publishers for the book.

Sad to hear that, hopefully you will sort something out so that we will be able to purchase it from the shops (WHSmith, Waterstones etc).

Yes - I'm sure it was great fun researching and a great achievement but I don't like the show either.

I'm sure you could sell copies here though. There are several Buses fans.

Thanks guys but if I can I will update the story.

The initial publication fell through as the publisher felt it necessary to reprice the book at £29.99 to cover print costs etc but I declined and pulled the plug on the deal feeling the book was being priced out of the market.

Not to be perturbed I have now found another publisher for the book and yesterday it became available to download here:-

Don't worry if ebook aren't your thing as it will be available around the globe also as a large (very large) paperback.

When will it be available on hardback/paperback?

It should be available on paperback (large-sized) about size of The Guinness Hit Singles Book or bigger, in the next few days.

I like the cover - who drew it?

The cover was drawn by a professional artist called Steve Lilly who also designed the rear cover. He specialises on drawings based on classic (mostly) British comedy series. A very talented man.
