Saw a couple of those live in the 70's. Generation X at the Marquee, and the Furs at the Music Machine in Camden. The Furs were fun.

Time to bring out the Christmas songs.
Jona Lewie - Stop the Cavalry http://youtu.be/5hVEdE0O5tA
John Lennon - Happy Christmas (War Is Over) http://youtu.be/yN4Uu0OlmTg
I always think I absolutely hate Christmas music, but I think that's just because it's always the same boring songs trotted out every single year, but there are actually a lot of Christmas songs that I like.
A Spotless Rose beats the socks off most carols you have to hear every year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JJP43Qj4AQ
as does Riu Riu Chiu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzGQU5VMPdI
And then there's Loreena McKennitt's Christmas songs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2SR_P-_98s
And despite their embarrassingly cheesy performance style Celtic Women do a good Carol of the Bells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQwu9e3oSC8

I am going to leave it a couple of weeks before posting my Christmas faces, but agree Loreena Chrsitmas EP is very good, and of course I loved the early music stuff.

It was released at Christmas and has the chorus Wish I Was At Home For Christmas. Not all Christmas songs are about peace and goodwill to all men.

Ugh. Glad I got to the x before the tune started!
Info for the disproportionate number of folkies around here:

What a strange way of expressing your admiration for that song.
