What did you find cryptic?
You renamed Renegade Carpark with a name usually used for a woman in the English language and then you wonder why SootyJ enquires if RC has had an operation to change sex?
Thanks for clearing that up. In Holland, France and Australia, Rene tends to be a bloke's name, whereas Renee is the sheila's name. So there was no intention to bend the chap's gender.
I first dropped the 'gade' from old Parker's name a few years back when I twigged that he resembled a young Gordon Kaye from early All Allo days, and he himself even adopted this truncated form for a single joke:

As for "Bangcokgone chop" or whatever it was - I have lived too long in Thailand and elsewhere in SthEasst Asia to view "Bangkok" as an innuendo. My mistake.
On the subject of gender-neutral names, one of the stronger characters in Malory Towers is Wilhelmina Robinson but nearly everyone calls her Bill. She is a good horsewoman and brooks no nonsense:
If you still enjoy diving Bill, you oughta come to Indonesia - I can show you some great locations. Avoid the tourist mess that is Bali and instead seek out some more remote places.
