They've made them look like twins, and they didn't in the footage I remember of them.

The policeman on the right also seems to be twins with the guy on the far left...

It just seems an utterly pointless practice, especially as there are already photographs of the defendants that have been published in news stories. We can all probably imagine that there will be some sitting down and some police officers in court. If they were drawing something dramatic that happened it might be worthwhile, but otherwise it's just a waste of time, isn't it?

I can see a face on the shirt of the policeman on the left.

Seems a bit pointless I suppose. It's just one of those English traditions/quirks.
I slightly fancied doing it for a while when I was a kid. Probably because it's one of the few jobs where artists can actually get paid.

Isn't it weird that quite soon when somebody says "The 20s" they'll have to specify whether they are talking about the 1920s or the 2020s? I think we should all emulate 1920s fashions for a decade so that we don't have deal with the confusion and baffled indifference of the young people who think we're all ancient because we were born in the nineteen-hundreds.

Can someone tell me what the purpose of those courtroom pastel drawings is? What exactly does this add to our understanding of what's going on in court?

Image

Well when they're talking about what was said in court on the news - they're not allowed to show it

So I guess the drawings just give a background to show whilst the reporter is waffling

Anyway

I think they're rather pretty

...er, the drawings I mean

Not the two retarded c**t bags involved in this case

Man dey is fugly

Why is it you can't film in court in the UK? You can film in the US, right? Is it to protect anonymity etc? If so, why do they still film in the US?

Where's Jennie when you need her?!

Always here :D

You can now film in the UK, but only in the Court of Appeal:

Trials in the US are something of a media circus, with witnesses, defendants and jurors akin to minor celebrities.

Would you really want to give evidence in a sex case for example with ITV News cameras in your face?

In such a case, there are worse places for the cameras to be.

Thank you, the QC of BCG.

If any of you are Facebook users, take a look at my mate's page.

Steve is terminally ill with cancer and yet he continues to amaze us with his account of his 'journey' which he now says is in it's last phase.

Truly inspirational man. Love him to bits.

How many threads have there been with the poster's own name as the title?

How awful. :(

Can't read it though - I imagine it is visible to his friends only.

Dunno. I wish I had enough self-absorbed gumption to start a "Jennie" thread.
