Doctor Who... Page 1,032

Very much enjoyed the Five(ish) Doctor's Reboot; a real labour of love from Peter Davison.

The Imagine documentary was also very good, the highlight though has been An Adventure in Space and Time.

The Christmas special looks more interesting than the normal fluffy wank.

And lets not forget the very good McGann mini-episode. All in all, and instantly forgetting the awful BBC3 'afterparty' that I had to mute for most of its run time, a great showing for the 50th.

What or when was the Imagine thing?

I think he means the Culture Show documentary.

The Ultimate Guide was also pretty naff, but yes if you ignore BBC 3, which it is always sensible to do, then as you say, an impressive showing.

The twats in charge of that after party thing really don't have a clue do they. One f**king Direction?
I'm so glad that part went so wrong. Utterly deserved.

The whole thing felt like it had been written by Charlie Brooker.

Oh right. I wondered why Alan Yentob wasn't in it (though it goes without saying I was delighted that he wasn't).

I didn't see that.
When was it on?

Last night (Friday)?

There were so many things on I'm getting them confused. But I thought the long programme narrated by Russell Tovey was quite good. Loads of old clips.

Yes, was on Friday. Probs on the iPlayer. Was very good, apart from the bit where they had a serious chat about a Dr Who producer's dodgy sex life for some reason.

Oh, I just remembered they opened the special with the old opening credits and music. That were nice.

Yes that did seem a bit ill-judged; I guess post Saville the Beeb are nervous of being seen to sweep anything under the carpet.

Hurt definitely has to budge everyone else up one place now, and become the 9th Doctor. I don't care what anyone says.

Troublemaker. He can be 8a. Or 8 1/2.
