People who say yes or maybe to things but then say no, at which point it becomes obvious they never had any intention of thinking about it. Just say no to start with.

I've been out with a few women like that.

Enjoy! . . .

People who when you are with them reply to every text, answer every call they get when you are with them, even ones that could wait. However don't reply to you for a few days when you send them a message- eventually replying with something like "sorry been with people all day"

You know what? How about next time we catch up face to face, you do me the same courtesy of not replying to someone who just texted you.

That is so maddening!

Truly, why don't you tell them to bugger off, then find people who value you more?

Having said that, I've a friend I visit every week or 2 and if her home phone rings, I can guarantee she'll spend half an hour talking to the person about piss all, while I sit twiddling my thumbs. I'm thinking of taking my ipod with me so I can play games (in a very obviously way, naturally).

Janet Street-Porter!

I remember when she was f**king normski

Some people are amazingly rude! I'd never take a non-essential call and have a chat when I was with someone else. But I seem to have quite an old-fashioned attitude to phone etiquette because I think it's really rude to call people after 9pm unless they are expecting you to, or it's an emergency.

Angry Why does every portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I, who was a hugely intelligent, witty, singular and independent woman famed for her rejection of idea that men were necessary to a woman's life or a queen's authority, insist on turning her into a simpering, girlish, idiotic, romantic fool who devotes all of her attention to men? A bit harsh on Glenda jackson.

She had just met David Tennant...

Her and Judi Dench are the exceptions...

Nope, not even David Tennant excuses it. It's like film-makers cannot handle the idea that she really did not have men in her life because everything from Cate Blanchett's Elizabeth to Helen Mirren's to that piece of utter garbage 'Anonymous' has her as man-obsessed (like all so-called independent women secretly are?). It's so insulting.
