Thanks for the heads up.

I will be sending something in again - it has to be one of the best opportunities going.
I thought they take submissions all year now.

Opens 11th November - Closes 6th Jan
I guess Red Planet Pictures itself will continue to read submissions via agents etc
It's not specifically comedy, though, is it?

Nope.
Got a rejection today.
Another fail.
I'm starting to feel like the deluded nutter on X Factor - 'but everyone says I is a good writer!'.
Mike.

You and me both, so it looks like they finally came through today.
However, as the entry was January 6th, it was the first 10 pages before I did a massive re-write of the script to make it more front-loaded (as this "10 page" thing seems quite common for competitions, agents, production companies etc.).
Therefore, it just confirmed what I suspected at the time - i.e. the start was too slow-paced - rather than being a big bombshell.
Odd.
I've heard nothing at all.
Doubtless this a bad sign - but I've e-mailed them for clarification.
Writers through to the second round (i.e. a full read) were contacted about 3 weeks ago.

So I gather.
But I was neither rejected or accepted.
Which makes me think something went awry with my entry.
Ho hum.
