Thanks for the tip. I'll be watching.
(BBC2 - 10pm)
.......I enjoyed that programme which, I guess, is now on iPlayer.
Very nice tribute. Even if you are not too familiar with his work it is worth a watch, it will convert you to a Felix Dexter fan.
I was kind of hoping they might repeat one of those pilots he made (or even an episode of The Real McCoy) after the documentary, but they didn't.
Has The Real McCoy ever been repeated? They made at least 3 series, it must have enough of a following for a repeat or a low key DVD release.

I don't know if it has been repeated but it might be now. That it was a landmark series was clear at the time but with the passing years it is now unquestionably a classic.
Sad to report that "Auntie" Collette Johnson died on 31 August at the age of 52 -

Unfortunately the volume level in this clip is poor but it is the best I can find:

And here in a better quality clip, various actors in The Real McCoy at Misery's Restaurant:

The Real McCoy was broadcast from 1991 to 1996. Can anyone recall what time of the week it was on? I associate it with Friday nights, as with Cheers on C4, but I could be wrong. That would make sense to me as I feel that I missed episodes of both programmes because of going out. Now I want to see them all.
Yes I very much enjoyed it, a nice tribute.
Good tribute show.
Shame the BBC didn't give the man the same respect and opportunity whilst he was actually still alive.
